MIL-W-16878/5
wire is insulated with a
heavy wall of
extruded PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). Along with its high
reliability, this wire provides excellent solder-iron resistance,
exceptional electric and thermal stability, chemical resistance and
lower weights than comparable insulation types. Certain strandings meet
Class A of NAS-703 or MPD 1506 (Type EE). Conductors :
Silver
plated copper. (Optional
conductors with nickel plated copper
and silver or nickel plated high
strength copper alloys are available.
Insulation :
Extruded
PTFE with a nominal wall
thickness of .015
inch (.381mm).
sodium Napthalene etched surfaces are also available for bondability. |
