TRACTION POWER CABLE

APPLICATION
=> These cables are used on 2000V DC traction power systems as positive and negative cables for public rapid transit systems, heavy and light rail, for underground installation in non-metallic, concrete encased duct bank or
pendant trapeze struts and supported by insulating clamps in substations.
=> Suitable for use in wet and dry locations, and to operate continuously at rated value temperature range of
-40°C
to
90°C.
DESCRIPTION
=> Single stranded soft or annealed uncoated copper conductor, cable tape separator as required, extruded thermosetting, flame retardant Ethylene Propylene (EPR) insulation compound, and fully bonded with a low smoke halogen free and flame retardant (LSHF) Cross-linked
polyolefin overall jacket.

=> ICEA S-95-658 Nonshielded Power Cables Rated 2 000 volts or less
for the Distribution of Electrical Energy.
=> ICEA T-33-655 Low-smoke, Halogen-Free (LSHF) Polymeric cable jackets.
ENGINEERING INFORMATION
=> Operating voltage: 2000V
=> Conductor operation temperature: 90°C dry or wet locations under normal operating conditions.
=> Conductor: Uncoated annealed Class 8 stranded copper per ASTM 8-8 and UL 44. Optional: Tin coated and flexible rope lay construction.
=> Separator: Suitable polyester tape as required.
=> Insulation: High quality heat, moisture and flame retardant
Ethylene-Propylene-Rubber (EPR) per UL 44 and meeting ICEA S-95-658.
=> Jacket: Low-smoke, lead-free and halogen-free (LSHF) Flame retardant Cross-linked polyolefin overall jacket per ICEA T-33-655.
